How this list was compiled

A list of 101 Catholic team names written by Wheel of Teams on 2026-10-02 and filed in five groups. Where a name carries a saint or a feast, the line under it gives a feast day or a patronage as that saint's or feast's own English Wikipedia article gave it on 2026-10-03 (for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cecilia_of_Rome and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michaelmas), text under CC BY-SA 4.0, in our own words. The feast days were also compared that day with Wikipedia's General Roman Calendar article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Roman_Calendar), which lists 13 of them. None was taken from a parish, a school, a diocese or an organization, and any match with a real team is a coincidence. Every name was looked up on 2026-10-03 as an exact title in English Wikipedia and in Open Library. Compared by script the same day with every other list on this site: no name is repeated. Nothing was checked against a trademark register. Licence: own work
