Draft Order Generator Wheel: Last Pick Revealed First: how it works
This draft order generator wheel draws a fantasy football league's draft order at random, with everyone watching; other fantasy sports work the same way. Type one manager per line, keep elimination mode on and spin. Each name that comes up leaves the wheel and takes the next slot, from the last pick up.
How to run the draw, last pick first
Swap Manager 1 to Manager 12 for your own names, then press Clear results so practice spins do not count. With 12 managers, spin 1 fills slot 12, spin 2 fills slot 11, and spin 12 crowns pick 1. The log numbers the spins, so a slot is 13 minus the spin number. Going bottom up keeps the room watching, because the first overall pick comes last.
Is a wheel draw fair?
Every name gets an equal segment, and a name that has come up cannot come up again, so each of 12 managers has the same 1 in 12 chance of any slot, whichever end you reveal from. What no wheel can show is that the commissioner did not spin in private until the result suited. So spin once, live, on the draft-room TV or a shared screen. Then press Copy and add one line above the pasted list: "Drawn last pick first: Spin 1 is pick 12, Spin 12 is pick 1."
Tips
- Two managers called Chris? Type Chris B and Chris T. Co-managers share one line, because the wheel draws teams, not people.
- Someone cannot make the call? Draw anyway, and paste the list where the whole league will see it.
- Some leagues draw for the right to choose a slot instead. Same wheel: first name out chooses first.
Questions and answers
What happens once the draft order is drawn?
In a snake draft, round 1 goes from slot 1 to the last slot and round 2 comes straight back. In a 12 team league slot 1 picks 1, 24 and 25, while slot 12 picks 12 and 13 back to back, then waits for 36 and 37.
Should a keeper or dynasty league randomize its draft order?
Many do so only in their first year. A returning league can set the order from last season's standings, worst record first, and keep the wheel for ties or for ordering the teams that missed the playoffs. Put only those names on the wheel.
Can we draw the order days before the draft?
Yes. Drawing early gives every manager time to prepare for a known slot; drawing on draft night makes it part of the event. Your names are saved on this device, so next season you only edit the ones that changed.
