Choose Party games the day before and read the list under the wheel: 22 of the 29 need something bought or made, such as apples, string or a pumpkin round enough to roll. On the night, switch to Elimination so no game comes up twice. Between games, give each guest one spin on Spooky challenges; 24 of the 26 need no props.
The old Halloween games on this wheel
Three results are old customs, not party shop inventions. Bobbing for apples is called dooking in Scotland, and the rule is teeth only, hands behind the back. Snap apple hangs the apples on strings, and in Ireland and Newfoundland Snap Apple Night is another name for Halloween. The apple peel game began as fortune telling: the peel was said to land as the first letter of a future spouse's name.
