Group Rank Names
Five sets of six rank names a press, lowest rank first: ship's crew, royal court, guild, space fleet, funny.
How it works
These group rank names come as ladders of six. Each press draws five sets, every one running from the lowest rank to the highest: Page, Squire, Knight, Baron, Duke, Monarch. A group with four ranks takes any four in order.

Rank names for groups, by theme
Ship's crew is the first theme in the menu, then Royal court, Guild and workshop, Space fleet and Funny or friendly, each with 12 sets. The line under a set names its theme: A restaurant kitchen for Pot Scrubber, Potato Peeler, Prep Cook, Line Cook, Sous Chef, Head Chef. The address ending #court opens the page on the court sets.
Where the orders come from
A few ladders follow history as Wikipedia gives it. A boy became a page at seven and a squire at fourteen. Guilds generally recognized three ranks: apprentices, journeymen and masters. The English peerage ran, from the lowest, baron, viscount, earl, marquess, duke. Most other sets are our own invention.

How this list was compiled

Each set runs from the lowest rank to the highest. The sets are our own work; none copies the rank ladder of an armed service, a police force, a religion, a lodge, a game or a platform. Where a set uses historical titles their order was read on 2026-10-04 in English Wikipedia, text under CC BY-SA 4.0: page, squire and knight in Squire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squire ) and Page (servant) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_(servant) ); baron, viscount, earl, marquess and duke in Imperial, royal and noble ranks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial,_royal_and_noble_ranks ); apprentice, journeyman and master in Journeyman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journeyman ) and Guild (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild ); boatswain, chief mate, master and the pirate quartermaster in Seafarer's professions and ranks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seafarer%27s_professions_and_ranks ), Boatswain (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boatswain ) and Quartermaster (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartermaster ).
