How this list was compiled

A list of 125 summer camp group names written by Wheel of Teams on 2026-10-02 and filed in five groups. Every name is made of everyday camp words: cabins, bunks, canoes, relays, trees, pond animals and constellations. The six constellations in the names are among the 88 in the English Wikipedia article IAU designated constellations, read on 2026-10-02 (CC BY-SA 4.0). The color war answer was checked against the English Wikipedia article Color war, read the same day (CC BY-SA 4.0). None was taken from a camp, a youth organization, a program or a brand. Each name was searched on Wikipedia the same day, and a name found there as an organization, a show, a book, a song or an album was taken out. Compared with every other list on this site on 2026-10-02 and again on 2026-10-03: no name is repeated. The .com and .org address that each whole name spells was asked for on 2026-10-03 and every page that answered was read: a coined name in use there by a company, a band, a shop or a real group was taken out, and a plain term was kept. Plain words are shared widely, so a group somewhere may already use one of these names. The 18 names in Church camp and retreat groups were written on 2026-10-03. None quotes a verse, and none was taken from a church, a denomination, a camp or a ministry. Each was searched that day as an exact phrase on Wikipedia and as a title in Open Library, and the .com and .org address it spells was asked for; nothing answered for them. One cabin name was replaced later on 2026-10-03 and given the same Wikipedia, Open Library and address look-ups; nothing answered for it. Nothing was checked against a trademark register.
