Custom Wheel Spinner: how it works
This custom wheel spinner starts with a ten-entry prize wheel so you can see it work, then hands the list to you. Type up to 100 prizes, names or options to choose between, one per line, and the wheel redraws as you go. Spin for one winner, take winners off as they come up, or keep a tally. People who type wheel spinner custom into a search box want one thing: a blank wheel they can fill in. Delete the sample prizes and type or paste your own entries, one per line. A column copied from a spreadsheet pastes straight in. The limit is 100 entries of up to 60 characters, and the page tells you if any lines were left out. Choose what happens to a winner
Normal keeps every entry on the wheel, which suits a one-off decision, or a prize wheel online or at a stall, where the same prize can come up twice. Elimination takes each winner off before the next spin, so it fits a spin the wheel drawing, a turn order or a chore list where nobody should be picked twice. Tally counts wins per entry, for first-to-three games and class points. Every spin is numbered in the results list, and Copy puts the whole list on your clipboard as a record.
Set percentages with repeated lines
There is no weight box: every line has the same chance, so an entry's chance is its number of lines divided by the total. For a wheel spinner with percentages, pick a total that makes the sums easy. Ten lines move in steps of 10 percent: Sticker pack on five lines, Keyring on three and T-shirt on two gives 50, 30 and 20 percent. Twenty lines move in steps of 5 percent, and the full 100 lines give whole percentages. Each line is drawn as its own segment, and where the repeats sit changes nothing.
Tips
- Using it as a choice maker? List only options you would accept, and agree before the spin that the decision stands.
- Keep entries under about 20 characters. Longer ones are cut short on the wheel, though the result card shows the full text.
- Giving away limited stock? Write one line per item you actually have and use Elimination. When the third T-shirt is won, T-shirt is off the wheel without anyone counting.
- Add a Spin again line or two when you want some spins to give nothing, and say so before anyone plays.
- Share builds a link that carries your list and the last result. Anyone with the link can read every name on it, so send it only to the people involved.
Questions and answers
Can I make a double spinner wheel?
Not as two linked wheels on one page yet. Two methods work today. For short lists, write the pairs as single entries: three players and four chores make twelve lines such as "Sam + Wash the car", and one spin settles both. For longer lists, keep the first list here, open the yes or no wheel in a second window and type your second list there. Each page saves its own list, and Reset list brings the Yes and No answers back.
Is every entry equally likely to win?
Yes. The winner is drawn at random in your browser when you press the button, with the same chance for every line, and the wheel is then turned to land on it. Segment position and earlier results have no effect. Writing an entry on two lines gives it two chances. The one fixed result is the sample showing when the page first opens, which is built into the page so it loads instantly.
Can I use it for a class reward or a giveaway drawing?
For informal ones, yes: a class reward, a club door prize, a stream giveaway among friends. Show the full list on a shared screen before you spin, use Elimination so nobody wins twice, and copy the numbered results afterwards. The wheel is not audited or certified, so it is not suitable for any prize draw that the law where you live regulates. Those need the method and the record keeping that your local rules set out.
Does the wheel save my list?
Your list is saved in this browser on this device and comes back when you return to the page. It is never sent to us. The results list and the tally are not kept: they start again when you reload. Reset list brings back the ten sample prizes. A private window or another phone starts from the sample wheel, so use Share to move a list between devices.
