How this list was compiled

A list of 95 fencing team names written by Wheel of Teams on 2026-10-04 and filed in four groups: blade and move puns, foil, épée and saber teams, school and club teams, and short one-word names. The names are our own suggestions built on the sport's own words; none names a club, a school, a maker or a fencer, and any match with a real team is a coincidence. The terms (lunge, parry, riposte, piste, flèche, balestra, lamé, salle, foil, épée, saber) were looked up on 2026-10-04 in six English Wikipedia articles, text under CC BY-SA 4.0: Fencing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fencing), Glossary of fencing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_fencing), Foil (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foil_(fencing)), Épée (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89p%C3%A9e), Sabre (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabre_(fencing)) and Parry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parry_(fencing)).
