How it works
This tournament name generator draws five names from 150 written for this page, in six sets: one for each season, one for community and charity events, and one just for fun. They suit any sport, from a softball weekend to a cornhole bracket.

Name the event in three steps
Pick the set that matches your date or your cause, then press the button for five names. Lock the one you like and draw again to compare. Put your town or club in front to make it yours: Harvest Cup becomes the Elm Street Harvest Cup.
Cup, Open or Invitational
The last word tells teams what to expect. An Open takes all comers and an Invitational is by invitation. A Round Robin promises every team several games, and a Showdown or Finals suits a single day. Choose the one that is true of your event.
Tips
- Planning to run it every year? Choose a name that still works next season, and add First Annual only once there is a second.
- Search the name with your town before you print shirts, in case a nearby event already uses it.
Questions and answers
What is a good name for a charity tournament?
One that names the cause plainly: Food Drive Face-Off, Coat Drive Cup, Library Fund Open and New Scoreboard Fund Cup are in the Community and charity set. People sign up faster when the name says where the money goes.
Can I use these names for any sport?
Yes. No name mentions a sport, so Firefly Cup works for soccer, pickleball, bowling or chess. No league, sponsor or well-known event is used either. A local event somewhere may share a name, so check nearby first.
What do I do once the tournament has a name?
Draw the bracket. The tournament bracket generator takes your team names and prints a single elimination bracket, and the round robin generator makes a schedule where everyone plays everyone.
