How this list was compiled

A list of 110 karate team names written by Wheel of Teams on 2026-10-03 and filed in five groups: kata, kumite and dojo names, belt color names, little dragons and kids' class teams, demo and tournament teams, and funny names for parents and adult beginners. The names are our own suggestions; none names a style organization, a school chain, a tournament, a film or a show, none is about hurting anyone, and any match with a real team is a coincidence. 44 names carry a line that says what a Japanese term means. Those meanings, and every karate term a name leans on, were looked up on 2026-10-03 in six English Wikipedia articles, text under CC BY-SA 4.0: Karate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate), Kata (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kata), Kumite (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumite), Karate kata (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate_kata), Karate gi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate_gi) and Dojo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dojo).
