Tournament Brackets by Size

A single elimination bracket is the fastest way from a full field to one champion. Lose once and you are out, so any field needs exactly one game fewer than it has teams. What changes with the team count is the shape of the sheet. Eight, 16, 32 and 64 teams fill every line. Any other count leaves empty lines, and those become byes for the top seeds, which moves the first round, the quarterfinal pairings and the number of court slots the day needs.

Each bracket here is drawn for one field size, from 6 teams to 64, with the byes placed, every game numbered and each seed's path to the final listed. Type in your teams, or print the sheet blank and fill it in courtside. For a count that is not listed, open the nearest size and change the Teams box, which takes any number from 3 to 128: the 16 team page set to 15, for example, gives Seed 1 the only bye.

If one loss is too harsh, the double elimination brackets keep every team in until its second defeat, and the round robin schedules have everyone play everyone.
