How it works
A linear draft order runs the same way in every round: slot 1 always picks first and the last slot last. The chart opens on 10 teams and 15 rounds, 150 picks. Tap your slot to see your own numbers.

How a linear draft order works
Your pick in any round is your slot plus ten for each round already finished: slot 3 holds 3, 13, 23 and 33. Everyone waits exactly 9 picks between turns; a snake's end slots wait 18, then none.
Snake draft vs linear: what changes
Odd rounds match. In even rounds a snake runs back, so slot 1 holds pick 20 where linear gives it 11, and slot 10 holds 11 where linear gives it 20. Linear moves the even rounds of slots 1 to 5 earlier and of slots 6 to 10 later, by 9 picks at the ends and 1 in the middle. Over 15 rounds slot 1's picks add up to 1,065 against slot 10's 1,200; in a snake, 1,128 and 1,137.
Questions and answers
What is a linear draft order?
An order that repeats. The manager who picks first in round 1 picks first in every round, and everyone keeps the same place in line all draft. With 10 teams, slot 1 holds picks 1, 11 and 21.
Linear vs snake draft: which is fairer?
A snake is the one built for fairness: whoever picks first in odd rounds picks last in even ones. Linear hands slot 1 the earlier pick every round. Sports drafts usually let teams that did poorly choose first, and linear repeats that help each round.
How is a linear draft order set?
Slots are drawn at random or set by last season's standings, worst record first. Whoever takes slot 1 then picks first in every round. To draw the slots in front of the league, spin the draft order wheel.
