How it works
This soccer lineup generator, a football team lineup generator for 11-a-side, puts your squad into a 4-4-2 for every quarter and shares the bench fairly.

Make the lineup
Replace the sample names with your squad, one per line, up to 18. Under More options, tick May play goal beside your keepers; nobody else goes in goal. Set the quarters, then print the chart for the touchline. Choose Random for a scrimmage: positions are drawn fresh each quarter.
How the bench is shared
Eleven play, the rest sit. With 14 players over four quarters there are 12 bench turns, so twelve players sit once and two play the whole game. Press Next game and those two sit first next week. Between quarters the fair rotation also tries to move players between defense, midfield and attack.
Questions and answers
Can benched players come back on?
The chart assumes they can. The Laws of the Game allow return substitutions only in youth, veterans, disability and grassroots football, and only where the national association agrees. Check your league's rule before you print.
Can I pick a different formation?
No. The chart is a fixed 4-4-2: goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers. For 7-a-side or 9-a-side shapes, spin single positions on the random soccer position generator instead.
Does it draw the players on a pitch?
No. The lineup is a table: one row per player, one column per quarter, with a short code such as LB or RCM in each cell. Switch to By position to read it as a team sheet for each quarter.
