This kickball lineup generator writes the kicking order your captain hands over before the game, with every player in it, and a chart of who fields where in each inning: ten spots, pitcher to right field.

Make the lineup

Replace the sample names with your team, one per line. Choose Shuffle for a random kicking order or Keep as typed for your own. Set the innings, usually seven or fewer when the game has a time limit, then print the sheet or copy it into the team chat.

How the bench is shared

Ten field, the rest sit, and everyone still kicks in turn. Twelve players over seven innings make 14 bench turns: two players sit twice and ten sit once. Press Next game and the ones who sat least sit first.

Questions and answers

How many fielders does kickball use?

Adult rules allow eight to ten in the field, and one of them must be the pitcher and one the catcher. The chart always fills ten. Short of players? Leave the two center fielders empty and you still have a legal eight.

Why are there two center fielders?

The rules name only the pitcher and catcher, so the other eight spots are a layout, not a law. This chart uses a softball infield and splits center field between left center and right center.

Can it keep a co-ed kicking order?

Only if you type it. Put the names in the order your league asks for and choose Keep as typed. The kicking order then stays as you wrote it and only the fielding chart is drawn.
