How it works
This 9v9 soccer lineup creator is for the small-sided game U11 and U12 teams play: eight field players and a goalkeeper. It sets out a 3-3-2 for every quarter and shares the bench fairly.

Make the lineup
Replace the sample names with your team, one per line. Under More options, tick May play goal beside your keepers; nobody else goes in goal. A game is two 30-minute halves, so each quarter column is about 15 minutes. Print the chart for the sideline.
How the bench is shared
Nine play, the rest sit. Twelve players over four quarters make 12 bench turns, so everyone sits exactly one quarter. With 13 there are 16 turns: three players sit twice. Between quarters the fair rotation also moves players between defense, midfield and attack.
Questions and answers
Can a subbed player go back on?
Yes. Small-sided rules for 9v9 allow unlimited substitutions at any stoppage, so a player can come off and return in the same half. A game may not start or carry on with fewer than six players a side.
Can I use a 3-2-3 or 4-3-1?
Not as a menu: the chart is a fixed 3-3-2. For a 3-2-3, read the center midfielder as a third forward; for a 4-3-1, read one striker as a fourth defender. The bench turns are the same whatever shape you play.
Is heading allowed in 9v9?
Not in U11 games under the small-sided rules this page follows: a deliberate header gives the other team an indirect free kick. U12 games allow it. Check your own league's rules before the season.
