Team Wheels by League

There are eight wheels here, one per league, and each holds that league's real teams for the current season. The five pro wheels carry every team: 32 in the NFL, 30 in the NBA, 32 in the NHL, 30 in MLB and 15 in the WNBA. The college football wheel has all 138 top-division programs, the college basketball wheel has 147 teams from 11 conferences, and the soccer wheel has 144 clubs from seven top divisions. Each list was checked against the league's own page where that could be read, and against a standard reference where it could not. The sources and the date are printed on each page under 'How this list was compiled'.

Every team showing on a wheel has the same chance, whatever its record, and the draw is made in your browser when you press Spin the wheel. Only the team shown when a page first opens is fixed in advance. Chips above the wheel cut it down to one conference, one division or one country. The three big wheels open with every team on, which is too many names to read, so tap a chip before you spin.

Each wheel has three modes. Normal spins the whole wheel every time. Elimination takes each winner off before the next spin, so friends sharing out a league never get the same team. Tally keeps count of every win under the wheel. My list swaps the league for names you type, one per line, up to 100, and keeps them in this browser only. After a spin, the share link opens the page on the same winner.
