Build the name around your own word
Type a word in capitals in A word that matters to your group, for example NOVA, and every name starts with it: NOVALYN, NOVARIX. The lock beside a part keeps it; the swap button changes that part alone. Print 30 group names makes a sheet to vote on.
Group name, sub-unit and fandom name
A K-pop group is given a name and a concept when it debuts, and sub-units are sometimes formed among its members. For a sub-unit, lock the first part and change the second. The last part names the fans.
Tips
- The name check covered Wikipedia's idol group lists, not every group or company in the world.
Questions and answers
Is this a K pop group name generator for girl groups and boy groups?
Yes. The coined names are not tied to either: LUMIRIX or KAIROLYN can suit a girl group, a boy group or a mixed one. Lock the part you like and change the other until the sound fits your concept.
Can I use this idol group name generator for a story or a dance cover team?
Yes. It is made for invented groups: a story, a role-play, a game, a dance cover team or a school project. No real group, member, company or song is named anywhere on the page.
Are any of these names real groups?
None was on the day of the check. Every name the two part lists can spell was compared with Wikipedia's lists of South Korean idol groups by decade and its list of Japanese idol groups, and none matched. A new group may still take one.
What is a fandom name?
It is the name a group's fans go by. Wikipedia's list of fandom names says many fandoms have a name that sets them apart, coined by the fans or by the artists themselves. Each result suggests one, such as Skylarks or Dawn Chorus.
