    Group Name of the day

    How it works

Press New group name and three parts follow The: an opener, steady or wry, an emblem of the chase such as Signed Warrant, Lasso or Fresh Trail, and a crew word from Bounty Posse to Collections Department.

    Read the full guide

Name the crew after your town or captain

A name typed in Your town or captain, say Alder Fork, takes the opener’s place: The Alder Fork Lasso Trackers. Print 30 group names gives the table a sheet to vote on.

    Frontier, space or fantasy

A frontier crew takes Territorial, Railhead or Cattle-Town with Telegram, Lasso or Tin Badge. A space crew takes Deep-Orbit or Sector-Wide with Homing Beacon, Transponder or Flight Log. A fantasy crew takes Kingdom-Wide or Crown-Appointed with Royal Seal or Messenger Raven, and Thief-Takers: in English legal history a thief-taker was a private individual hired to capture criminals.

    Questions and answers

What is a good bounty hunter group name?

The Last Signed Warrant Bounty Posse, The Dogged Lasso Trackers, The Unblinking Fresh Trail Thief-Takers and The Territorial Tin Badge Deputies. Each is one opener, one emblem and one crew word from the lists on this page.

What is a name for a group of bounty hunters?

Posse is one: short for posse comitatus, Latin for force of the county, says Wikipedia’s Posse comitatus article. In common law it is a group of people called out, typically by a sheriff, to protect the peace. Others here: Bounty Crew, Bounty Outfit, Bounty Company.

What are some funny bounty hunter team names?

The One-Town-Behind Tired Horse Pursuit Agency, The Poorly-Disguised Hatband Sleuths and The Wrong-Door Paperwork Collections Department. A wry opener and an office for a crew word turn a grim posse into a comedy act.

Can I use one of these bounty hunter group names for a real business?

They are written for stories and tabletop games, and nothing here is about real bail enforcement or its licenses. The lists are our own suggestions, so search a name yourself before you put it on anything outside a story.
