Put your gang's road or hideout first

Type it in Your gang's road or hideout, for example Thistle Hollow, and it leads every name: The Thistle Hollow Burlap Mask Rustlers. Lock the part you like and the next press changes only the other two. Print 30 group names makes a sheet the table can vote on.

Thief group names and raider group names

For a town gang of thieves, lock Cutpurses, Pickpockets or Cat Burglars and look for a town opener: Alleyway, Lamp-Lit, Wharfside. For raiders, lock Raiders or Raiding Party: The Storm-Chased Wagon Wheel Raiders. Highwaymen suit the open road, Rustlers open country and Smugglers a river.

    Questions and answers

What are some good bandit group names?

The Foggy Dark Lantern Rustlers, The Greenwood Magpie Nest Cutpurses, The Mule-Track Burlap Mask Highwaymen and The Deep-Woods Stolen Pie Scallywags. Each is one opener, one emblem and one gang word from the three lists on this page.

What is a cool name for a thief group?

The Wharfside Bent Hairpin Pickpockets, The Alleyway Sooty Glove Cat Burglars or The Garret Loose Floorboard Latch Lifters. Lock the gang word and press again until the opener and the emblem fit your story's town.

What is the difference between a highwayman and a footpad?

A highwayman robbed travelers on horseback and a footpad robbed them on foot, says Wikipedia's Highwayman article, read October 3, 2026. In the American West of the 1800s, it adds, highwaymen were sometimes called road agents. Highwaymen and Footpads are both gang words here.

Are these the names of real gangs or outlaws?

No. The lists are our own and hold no person's name. No name they can spell contains a gang name on Wikipedia's list of Old West gangs, read October 3, 2026. A group in a published story or game may still use a result.
