Questions and answers
Are these free bowling league standing sheets?
Yes. Print blank sheet prints the open sheet empty, with its notes underneath, on US Letter or A4. To keep a file, choose Save as PDF where the browser asks for a printer.
How do bowling league standings work?
Customarily a team earns points for each game it wins and for the higher pin total of the session, and the teams are listed by points. How many points each is worth is set by the league's own rules.
Does the sheet work out the standings?
No. Every box is a blank to write in, and nothing is added or sorted. For a day of games that add themselves, use the bowling tournament score sheet.
How many teams fit on one standings sheet?
Twenty. The sheet opens with eight lines, and a line for the next team goes under the last one. All twenty still print on one page with the notes.
AverageTotal pins divided by Games, with the fraction dropped.
GamesOn the tournament sheet: the games each bowler has finished, so a total over fewer games is not read as a low one.
High gameThe best single game so far: the team's on a league sheet, the bowler's on the tournament sheet.
League pointsUnder the heading Points: the points so far, at whatever your league gives for a win and for a tie.
LostGames or points lost so far, counted the same way as Won.
PlayedOn the any league sheet: matches played so far, so a team that has played fewer is not mistaken for one that is behind.
TiedMatches that ended in a tie. Leave the column empty in a league where a match cannot be tied.
Total pinsEvery game of the season so far added together. Write scratch pins or pins with handicap, as your league posts them.
WonGames or points won so far this season.

How this list was compiled: The layout is our own work: a standings table with one line a team and a plain box under each heading, on a sheet for a bowling league (Won, Lost, Total pins, High game), a sheet for any league (Played, Won, Lost, Tied, Points) and a sheet for a bowling tournament (Games, Total pins, Average, High game). Nothing is added up or sorted. Checked on 2026-10-08 against English Wikipedia: a league's standings are published after each session, a team is given points for each game it wins and for the higher pin total of the session, and the point system differs from league to league (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowling_league, last edited 21 July 2026; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenpin_bowling, last edited 6 October 2026); a position round pairs teams that stand next to each other in the standings, first against second and third against fourth, and an average is the total of the scores divided by the number of games, cut down to a whole number (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_bowling, last edited 6 October 2026). No number of points, tie-break, handicap figure or league size is stated, because each league sets its own and none was checked. No league, team or bowler is named.
