How this list was compiled: The layout is our own work: a numbered row for each hole with four small boxes (fairway hit, green in regulation, the strokes that were not putts, the putts), the hole's score worked out from the last two, Out, In and Total, and the round's fairways hit, greens in regulation and putts. Checked on 2026-10-08 against two English Wikipedia articles. Glossary of golf (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossary_of_golf): fairway hit, a fairway counted as hit if any part of the ball touches the fairway once the tee shot lands, on a par 4 or 5, and the share of fairways hit as a measure of driving accuracy; green in regulation, the ball on the putting surface in at least two strokes fewer than par (by stroke one on a par 3, the second on a par 4, the third on a par 5); putt, a stroke made on the green, mostly with a putter; gross score, the strokes taken for a hole or a round before any handicap; front nine, holes 1 to 9; back nine, the final nine holes of an 18-hole course, played coming back in after going out on the front nine. Golf (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golf): penalty strokes counted toward a player's score as if they were extra swings. Splitting a hole's score into its putts and every other stroke is this sheet's own way of counting; it follows from the glossary's definition of a putt. The sheet holds no par, no course and no handicap, and no club, maker, tour or player is named. Licence: own work

Questions and answers
What stats should I track in golf?
This sheet keeps three beside the score: fairways hit for the tee shot, greens in regulation for the shots to the green, and putts for the strokes on it.
What is a green in regulation?
A green is hit in regulation when the ball is on the putting surface in at least two strokes fewer than par: by the first stroke on a par 3, the second on a par 4 or the third on a par 5.
What counts as a fairway hit?
The fairway is hit if any part of the ball touches it after the tee shot on a par 4 or a par 5. The share of fairways hit is used as a measure of driving accuracy.
How do you count putts in golf?
A putt is a shot played on the green, usually with a putter. A stroke from off the green goes under Shots on this sheet, even when the putter is used.
Can I print a blank golf stat sheet?
Yes. Before anything is typed the main button prints the open sheet empty on a single page: 18 numbered holes, each with boxes for fairway, green, shots, putts and score, and the totals under them.
