Score a round

Type the team names under Team 1 and Team 2. When every team has thrown its three bolas, count the points of the bolas still hanging and type each team's number in the round's row. The running total shows under the number. The + adds a third team.

Going over 21

A round that would take a team past 21 is a bust, so type 0 for it.

Questions and answers

How do you keep score in ladder ball?

Points are counted at the end of each round, once every team has thrown, from the bolas left hanging. In the most common scoring the top rung is worth 3, the middle 2 and the bottom 1, and the race is to 21.

Do you have to get exactly 21 in ladder ball?

Yes, in a race to 21: a team that goes above 21 is bust and nothing is added to its score that round.

Which rung is 3 points in ladder ball?

The top rung in the most common scoring. One variety turns it round, top 1 and bottom 3, so settle it before the first throw.

What happens if both teams reach 21?

If the teams tie, play goes on until one is at least 2 points ahead.

How far away do you stand in ladder ball?

The tossing line is set five paces from the ladders, and a player may not step over it during a turn.
