How it works

These golf tournament score sheets are one table in a browser tab: a row for each team, Front 9, Back 9, a gross that adds itself, handicap and net. No sign-up, and nothing typed is shown on other phones.

Score a scramble: gross, handicap, net

Type each team's name over Team 1, then its Front 9 and Back 9 from the card. G adds the two nines into the gross, and Net is the gross less the handicap you type. Type 0 for a team with no handicap and remove unused rows: the lowest net is marked Leading once every row has the same boxes filled.

A golf tournament scoreboard on paper

Print blank sheet prints 24 empty rows for the clubhouse wall. The menu has four more sheets: stroke play, two rounds, Stableford points, where the high total leads, and Team scorecard, a golf tournament scorecard template of 18 holes against a par column you type.

Tips
  • Fewer than 12 teams? Press Remove the last team until the rows match the field, or nobody is marked Leading.
  • Add #sheet=stableford to the page address to open on the Stableford sheet. #sheet=team-card opens the scorecard.

Questions and answers

Is this golf tournament scoring software?

It does the scoring part: it adds every team's gross and net and marks who leads. As free golf tournament software it stops there, with no entry list, tee times or live board on other phones.

Does it work as a golf tournament scoring app?

On one phone or tablet, yes. The sheet slides sideways inside its frame and is kept in that browser, with no account. Scores typed on one phone do not appear on another.

Is there a printable golf tournament score sheet?

Yes. Print blank sheet prints the open sheet empty on Letter or A4, and Print this game prints the names and numbers as typed. Choose Save as PDF in the print window to keep a file.

How are Stableford points worked out?

Each hole is scored against a fixed target, which is par unless the committee sets another: commonly 1 point for a bogey, 2 for a par, 3 for a birdie and 4 for an eagle. Type each nine's points and the highest total leads.

What happens when two teams tie?

The sheet marks both Tied. A common tie-break in stroke play is a scorecard count back, where the lower score over the last nine holes wins, so compare the Back 9 boxes. Your event's own rule decides.

All 27 columns and notes

Field sheet columns 11

  • Back 9 The strokes on holes 10 to 18. When two totals are tied and there is no playoff, a count back compares the scores over the last nine holes first, which is this box.
  • Back 9 points Stableford points won on holes 10 to 18. A player who does not hole out gets no points for that hole and moves on.
  • Front 9 The strokes a team or a player took on holes 1 to 9, copied from the scorecard. In a scramble every player tees off, the team picks the best shot and all play the next one from that spot, so a team has one score for each hole.
  • Front 9 points Stableford points won on holes 1 to 9. A hole is scored against a fixed target, which is par unless the committee sets another: commonly 1 point for a bogey, 2 for a par, 3 for a birdie and 4 for an eagle.
  • Gross Front 9 and Back 9 added while you type, under the heading G on the scramble sheet and Tot on the stroke play sheet: every stroke counted, with no handicap strokes applied.

Field sheet columns, continued

  • Net Gross less the team handicap. The lowest net is marked Leading once every row on the sheet has the same boxes filled.
  • Points Both nines added. In Stableford the most points wins, the reverse of stroke play, so this sheet marks the highest total.
  • Round 1 The total strokes of the first 18 holes, gross or net as your event posts them.
  • Round 2 The total strokes of the second 18 holes. A count back over the last 18 holes compares this box first.
  • Team handicap The strokes the organizer allows the team. How that number is worked out is the event's own rule, so the sheet takes it as typed and applies no formula. Type 0 for a team that gets none.
  • Total: two rounds Round 1 and Round 2 added. The lowest total over the 36 holes is marked Leading.

Team scorecard lines 5

  • Hole One line for each of holes 1 to 9. The left box takes the hole's par from the course's own card and the right box the team's strokes.
  • Hole 10 to 18 One line for each hole of the second nine, numbered 10 to 18 on the card.
  • In Holes 10 to 18 added. This is the Back 9 figure of the field sheet.
  • Out Holes 1 to 9 added, for the par column and for the team. This is the Front 9 figure of the field sheet.
  • Total: 18 holes Out and In added. Under the Par heading it is the par of the course; under the team it is the gross score to copy to the field sheet.

How to keep the sheets 11

  • A team with no handicap gets a 0 Rows are compared once each has the same boxes filled.
  • Copy the nines to the field sheet Print one card for each team. When the cards come back, type each team's Out and In as Front 9 and Back 9.
  • G is the gross Front 9 plus Back 9, before the handicap comes off.
  • Most points wins The highest total leads, the reverse of stroke play.
  • One row for each team Add or remove rows until they match the field.
  • One score a hole for a scramble team Every player tees off, the team picks the best shot and all play the next from that spot until the ball is holed. That one score goes on the hole's line.
  • Par comes from the course's own card Type the par of each hole in the left column. No course is loaded, and Out, In and Total add up for both columns.
  • Points for a hole Bogey 1, par 2, birdie 3, eagle 4, nothing for worse.
  • Tied after two rounds A count back over the last 18 holes compares Round 2.
  • Tied on the total A common tie-break is a count back: the lower Back 9 wins.
  • Who signs the card In stroke play a marker enters the score after each hole and certifies the card when the round ends. The player checks it and hands it in.

How this list was compiled: The layout is our own work: a field sheet with one row for each team or player and a team scorecard of 18 lines against a par column. No course's card is copied and no handicap formula is printed. Checked on 2026-10-02: scoring by gross scores (no handicap strokes applied) or net scores, and the marker who enters each hole score and certifies the scorecard in stroke play, in Rule 3 of the Rules of Golf as published by The R&A (https://www.randa.org/en/rog/the-rules-of-golf/rule-3); Stableford as points for each hole against a fixed target score that is par unless the committee sets another, no points for a hole that is not holed out, and the most points winning, in Rule 21 (https://www.randa.org/en/rog/the-rules-of-golf/rule-21); the usual points of 1 for a bogey, 2 for a par, 3 for a birdie and 4 for an eagle, and how a scramble is played, in English Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variations_of_golf); the playoff and the scorecard count back over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes as the common ways to break a tie, and net scores as gross less handicap (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroke_play).
