How this list was compiled: The layout is our own work: a row for each set with the points of both teams, a row under it to mark the set won, the sets won added up, and a line for the time-outs of each set. It is a simple set-by-set sheet, not the official scoresheet with line-ups, service order and a running score column. Checked on 2026-10-09 against the Official Volleyball Rules 2025-2028 of the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (https://www.fivb.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/FIVB-Volleyball_Rules2025_2028-EN-v05.pdf): rule 6.2, a set is won by the team that first reaches 25 points and leads by at least two, and at 24-24 play continues until a two-point lead (26-24, 27-25); rule 6.3, the team that takes three sets wins the match, and at 2-2 the deciding fifth set goes to 15 points with a lead of at least two; rule 15.1, a team may ask for at most two time-outs per set; rule 15.4.1, a time-out lasts 30 seconds. Checked the same day against the Summary Comparison of NCAA, USA Volleyball and NFHS Volleyball Rule Differences 2024, published by the National Federation of State High School Associations (https://www.nfhs.org/media/7213070/2024_rulecomparison_ncaa-nfhs-usav.pdf): high school matches are best 3 of 5 sets, and best 2 of 3 may be allowed by a state association and then all sets are 25 points; a high school time-out is 60 seconds. Checked the same day against the English Wikipedia article Volleyball (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volleyball): a match is best of five sets and a fifth set, when needed, usually goes to 15 points; scoring varies between leagues and levels, and some high schools play best of three to 25. How it works
A simple volleyball score sheet, not the official scoresheet with line-ups and service order: a row for each set with both teams' points, a row for who won it, and each set's time-outs. It opens on best of 3 sets.

Score a set
Type the team names under Home and Away. When a set ends, type each team's points in Set 1, then a 1 or an x in Won set 1 for the team that took it. The sheet adds the sets won and names the team that reaches two.
Best of 5 sets
Best of 5 sets is the standard match in high school and in international play: three sets win. Sets go to 25 and need a two-point lead, and a fifth set, played at two sets each, goes to 15.
Each team has two time-outs a set: type 1, then 2, in that set's time-out row.
Questions and answers
Is there a volleyball score sheet PDF?
Yes. With nothing typed, Print blank sheet sends the open sheet to the print window: pick Save as PDF there. The 3 sets sheet and the 5 sets sheet each fit one page of US Letter or A4, scoring notes included.
Can I use it as a high school volleyball score sheet?
As a simple record, yes. High school matches are best of five, or best of three where the state association allows it, and then all three sets go to 25. It is not the official form with line-ups, service order and a running score.
Is there a volleyball score sheet for 3 sets?
It opens on one: three set rows, and the match goes to the first team with two sets. For a longer match, Best of 5 sets has five rows.
What does a volleyball score sheet example look like?
A set won 25-21 reads 25 and 21 in the set's row, and a 1 under the winner's 25. After 25-21, 23-25 and 25-19 the sheet shows two sets to one and names the winner.
