How it works

This printable basketball score sheet is a simple game sheet, not a scorebook page with a line for every player: both teams' points by quarter with the running score, team fouls by quarter and time-outs, on one page.

Keep a game

Type the team names under Home and Away. When a quarter ends, type the points each team scored in it: the score so far shows under them and the final score adds itself. Q1 fouls to OT fouls hold each team's fouls of that period, and the last row its time-outs.

Two halves

Two halves is the sheet for college men's rules and for leagues that play halves. In men's college play the seventh team foul of a half brings a one-and-one and the tenth brings two free throws.

  • Team fouls start again each quarter. From the fifth, a foul on a player who is not shooting brings two free throws.

Questions and answers

Is there a basketball score sheet PDF?

Yes. Print the blank sheet and choose Save as PDF where the print window asks for a printer. Both sheets fit one page of US Letter or A4.

Does it work as a youth basketball score sheet?

Yes. A youth game played in quarters uses the sheet as it opens, however long a quarter runs. Foul limits and time-outs follow your own league's rules, so check them before the tip.

Is this a high school basketball score sheet?

It keeps what a high school scorer's table watches by quarter: points, team fouls and time-outs. Most high school varsity games are four 8-minute quarters, and a team has five time-outs. For a line a player, use the basketball stat sheet.

What is on a simple basketball score sheet?

Two team names, the points of each quarter, the score after each quarter, team fouls and time-outs. Player points and personal fouls belong to a scorebook page, which this sheet leaves out on purpose.
