7 Team Round Robin Schedule: how it works
A 7 team round robin takes 21 games, because each team plays the other six once. Seven is odd, so one team sits out every round: seven rounds of three games, and one bye for each team. Type your teams over the sample names, set courts and a start time, then print it.
How long 21 games take on 1, 2 or 3 courts
The example runs on three courts, 30-minute games from 9:00: a whole round plays at once and the day ends at 12:30. On two courts each round needs two slots, two games, then one: 14 slots, a 4:00 finish, and a free court every second slot for warm-ups. One court means a 7:30 finish, so split it over two days.
Choosing who sits out, and when
Untick Random draw, press Make schedule, and the byes follow the order you typed. Lines 1 to 7 rest in rounds 1, 4, 7, 3, 6, 2 and 5. Put a late arrival on line 1 and a team that must leave early on line 3, which rests in round 7. Lines 1 and 2 meet in the last round, so type your two strongest teams there.

- The bye team can referee or keep score.
- Press Double for home and away: 14 rounds, 42 games, a 9:00 to 4:00 day on three courts.

Questions and answers
Does any team play six games in a row?
On three courts, two do. Each round fills one slot, so the bye is the only rest, and the teams that sit out rounds 1 and 7 play six games back to back. The team resting in round 4 plays three, rests, plays three. For a breather, set Minutes per match to 40 and play 30: the day ends at 1:40 pm.
What if one of the seven teams drops out?
Before the first game, delete its line and the page rebuilds for six teams: 15 games, 5 rounds, no byes. Once play has started, keep the sheet and cross out that team's games. Each opponent rests that round, so every remaining team ends with five games and two rounds off.
How do you split a tie in a seven-team round robin?
Agree the order before round 1 and write it on the printed sheet: a round robin tournament bracket has no final to settle it. Head-to-head is the usual first step. It fails when three teams finish 4 and 2 and each beat one of the others, so add a second step: point difference in games among the tied teams.
