Nobody has the same partner twice. Each player gets 7 different partners and faces any one opponent at most twice. Courts: 1 to 5 games each on court 1, 2 to 6 on court 2.
At social and club play, a pickleball round robin often means rotating partners: a new partner and new opponents every round, and the most points wins. This pickleball round robin generator builds that chart for 4 to 24 players on your courts, shares the rests evenly and prints a score sheet. Press Tennis for the same rotation scored in games.
Pickleball round robin for 8 players: 7 rounds on 2 courts
The example chart is for 8 players: two courts, seven rounds, 14 games, an hour and 45 minutes at 15 minutes a game. Each player partners every other player exactly once and faces each exactly twice. Stop after any round and nobody has repeated a partner.
5, 6, 7 or 9 players: who rests
With 5 or 9 players, one sits out each round and everyone rests once, so nine players need nine rounds on two courts. With 6 or 10 two rest, with 7 or 11 three. A 7 player doubles round robin is seven games on one court, four each, and nobody rests twice running. All 21 charts are listed below with courts, rounds, games and rests.
Tips
Score players, not pairs: after every game both partners write their side's points beside their own name on the score sheet.
In the 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 player charts the highest seat never changes court. To give that seat to the host, switch the random draw off and type the host's name last.
Short of courts? Set the number you have and each round is played in shifts. Do it before you print, so the sheets match.
Questions and answers
How do you score round robin pickleball when partners change?
Each player keeps an individual total, and the most points after the last round wins. The USA Pickleball rules summary says games are normally played to 11, win by 2, and tournament games may be to 15 or 21. For timed rounds, record the score at the buzzer.
Does it work for a round robin tennis tournament?
Yes. Press Tennis: the rotation stays the same and players record games won instead of points. To keep a tennis round robin on the clock, use no-advantage scoring or short sets to four games. Fixed partners is a different draw: enter each pair as one team on the 8 team round robin.
Is this pickleball round robin generator free?
Yes, with no sign-up. Names stay in your browser and travel inside the share link, so when someone drops out you make the chart again and send the new link. To print the chart, or save it as a PDF, open your browser's print window. Live standings at one web address need league software.

How this list was compiled: Twenty-one rotating-partner doubles charts, one for every player count from 4 to 24, worked out by Wheel of Teams with its own search script and then checked by a second script on 2026-09-18. The check confirms, for every chart, that no two players are partners more than once, that every player plays the same number of games and rests the same number of rounds, that nobody rests two rounds in a row, and that no pair faces each other more than twice. The charts for 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 21 and 24 players are whist tournament designs: every pair partners exactly once and meets as opponents exactly twice. In each chart a game is written as four seat numbers: the first two are partners against the last two. Seat numbers are dealt to players at random by the tool. Scoring wording (games normally to 11, win by 2; tournament games may be to 15 or 21; points scored only by the serving team, with rally scoring described as an alternative) was checked against the USA Pickleball rules summary at https://usapickleball.org/rules/summary/ on 2026-09-18, which refers to the 2026 Official Rulebook. Tennis wording (no-ad scoring, eight-game pro sets, short sets to four games) was checked against https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennis_scoring_system on the same date. Licence: own work
