    Group Name of the day

    How it works

For stories and games: press New group name and three parts follow The, a quiet or hopeful opener, a sign a hidden group could chalk on a wall and a body word from Resistance to Underground Press.

    Read the full guide

Start with your city or sector

Type it in Your city or sector, for example Veridon, and each name leads with it: The Veridon Crocus Couriers. A tap on a part shows its padlock; lock it and the next press redraws the rest. Print 30 group names puts a page of them on the game table.

    The sign in the middle

The middle part is a sign small enough to chalk on a wall: a crocus, an oak leaf, a wagtail, a tin whistle, a folded letter. For a cool name for a resistance group, hold the sign your characters would draw and let the opener and the body word change round it.

    Questions and answers

What are good names for resistance groups in a story?

The Unbent Crocus Couriers, The Whispered Oak Leaf Underground Press, The Rekindled Wagtail Dissenters and The After-Curfew Leaflet Messengers. Any opener can stand with any sign and any body word on the three lists below.

Are these the names of resistance groups from history?

No. This resistance group name generator is for invented worlds. No real movement, party, war, country, date or slogan is on the lists, and on October 4, 2026 a script found none of its names among those linked on four Wikipedia pages.

Does it work as a rebel group name generator?

Yes. Hold Rebel Circle, Rebel Council, Rebel Choir, Rebel Network or Rebel Press in the last part and press again. Hold Rebellion and it is a rebellion group name generator: The Rekindled Linnet Rebellion.
