15 Team Round Robin Schedule: how it works
Fifteen teams that all play each other once make 105 games, and a 15 team round robin plays them seven at a time. The odd team out rests, so every round has one bye and every team gets exactly one. The sample is a one-day tournament on seven courts.
105 games on seven courts, four, or fewer
The sample uses seven courts from 8:30 with 25-minute slots: one round per slot, finished at 2:45. Each team's only break is its bye. On four courts a round is four games, then three: 30 slots, a 9:00 pm finish, and a fifth or sixth court ends it no sooner. Three courts need 18 hours 45 minutes.
A 15-week league: who gets the late game
Play a round a week for a 15-week season: 14 games each, one week off. Clear First match starts and the clock times go. On four courts, rows 1 to 4 of a round are early games and rows 5 to 7 late ones. The tool shares them out: whatever the draw, every team gets seven to nine early starts and five to seven late ones in its 14 games, and the line under the schedule says so.
Tips
- Week off by list line, in typed order: 1, 8, 15, 7, 14, 6, 13, 5, 12, 4, 11, 3, 10, 2, 9. A club away in week 12 goes on line 9.
- Type last season's standings in order, Random draw unticked: round 1 pairs 2 v 15 down to 8 v 9 while the champions rest, and first meets second in week 15.
- Pick a club under Show only to print its 14 games and week off, or save a PDF from your browser's print window.
Questions and answers
Can a 15 team league play home and away?
Yes. Press Double: 30 rounds, 210 games, a 30-week season with two weeks off per team. Too long? Stay single: every side is listed first in exactly seven of its 14 games, so treat listed first as home and the season is already level.
What if we only have one day and three courts?
Do not play all 105. Split into three pools of five: 10 games a pool, 30 in all, four per team. With a court per pool, 25-minute games finish in 4 hours 10 minutes. The pool winners, the runners-up and the two best third-placed teams fill an eight-team bracket.
Who gets the bye in a 15-team playoff bracket?
A 15-team bracket has one empty place, so one team skips the first round. Give it to the round robin winner, and seed the rest by final standing, 2 v 15 down to 8 v 9.
