How it works
This baseball pitching chart is a pitch count sheet to print for the dugout or type on: a row an inning, boxes for balls and strikes, and a running count. It does not chart pitch types or locations.

Count an inning
Type the pitcher's name under Pitcher 1. When the half inning ends, type the balls under Balls and every other pitch under Strikes: called, swung at, fouled off or hit. The row shows the inning's pitches with the count so far under it.
A relief pitcher
The + beside the last column starts a count for the next pitcher, up to four.
Questions and answers
What is a pitch count?
The number of pitches a pitcher throws in a game. Every pitch is in it, whether it is a ball, a strike, a foul or a ball put in play.
How do you keep a pitch count by hand?
Tally each pitch as it is thrown, balls in one box of the inning and everything else in the other. Add the two when the half inning ends and carry the running count down the sheet.
Can I print a blank pitching chart?
Yes, free. While nothing is typed the main button prints the chart empty on one page of Letter or A4, with the innings and the pitcher columns that are on screen.
